In this example we will bend the conduit using an angle of 30-degrees.

 

B E N D I N G   C O N D U I T

Attach deadnutz: Utilizing its strong spring clip at the end, clip it to the pipe as shown.

Anti-dog Zeroing: Rotate the pipe until the bubble in the vial is centered. This ensures the elimination of “dog legs” while bending the pipe.

Align to Wheel: Position the pointer over the “0” mark on the wheel. deadnutz is now zeroed to the bender. This is the last time you need to touch this protractor / level even while bending multiple point saddles, concentric, or segmented bends.

Bend Pipe: Bend the pipe until the pointer aligns exactly to the 30-degree mark.

 

 First Bend Complete

Leave deadnutz in place. Rotate the pipe 180-degrees and place at your next bend mark. Again, rotate the pipe until the bubble in the vial is centered to eliminate “dog legs”. The pointer now indicates 30-degrees on the wheel.

Bend pipe until the pointer once again aligns exactly with the “0” mark.

 

Bend Complete
